Evrysdi is an oral medication containing the active ingredient risdiplam. It is used to treat spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic disorder that affects motor neurons and leads to muscle weakness and loss of movement.

 Indications:

• Treatment of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in adults and children aged 2 months and older.

• Helps increase production of SMN protein, essential for survival of motor neurons.

 Warnings & Precautions:

• Must be used under the supervision of a specialist.

• Contraindicated in case of allergy to risdiplam or any component of the drug.

• Common side effects may include diarrhea, skin rash, and upper respiratory infections.

• Regular blood tests may be required to monitor liver function and hemoglobin levels.

 Storage:

• Store in the refrigerator between 2–8°C.
