Hydra – 100 Capsules (Turkish Product)

Hydra is an antineoplastic and immunosuppressive medicine used in the treatment of certain cancers and blood disorders. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells through the inhibition of DNA synthesis.

Indications:

• Treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).

• Treatment of melanoma.

• Treatment of ovarian cancer.

• Also used in non-cancerous blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia to reduce painful crises.

Warnings & Precautions:

• Must be taken under the supervision of an oncologist or hematologist.

• Can lower blood cell counts (white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets) → requires regular blood monitoring.

• May affect liver and kidney function; monitoring is necessary.

• Increases the risk of infections due to immune suppression.

• Contraindicated in pregnancy – may cause birth defects.

• Breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment.

• Use sun protection, as the drug can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight.
