Perjeta is a targeted cancer therapy used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer. It contains pertuzumab, a monoclonal antibody that binds to the HER2 receptor and blocks the signals that make cancer cells grow and spread. It is usually given in combination with trastuzumab (Herceptin) and docetaxel.

Metastatic breast cancer.

Early-stage breast cancer at high risk of recurrence.

Warnings & Precautions:

Must be administered under the supervision of an oncology specialist.

May cause heart problems; regular monitoring of cardiac function is required.

May cause infusion-related reactions (fever, chills, nausea).

Should not be used during pregnancy as it may harm the fetus.

Breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment and for at least 7 months after the last dose.
